Cordle said there were 4 commits (Cordle, Boone, Hartline and Worthington) and 4 uncommited recruits (Mathis, McCoy, Ashley and Robinson). According to Cordle this was not by accident, it gave them a chance to sell the uncommited recruits. He spoke to Ashley.
Jimmy was hosted by Lancaster alum Bobby Carpenter. He said he and the other recruits got a chance to watch the current players practice and they hung out with them.
He will graduate Jan. 14th and start tOSU in the Spring Qtr.

Quote:
4 -- CORDLE BECOMES A BUCKEYE: Lancaster offensive guard Jim Cordle followed his heart, committing to Ohio State in April. The much-sought after lineman, a two-team First Team all-Ohioan twice voted Best Camper at OSU lineman camps, chose the Buckeyes over Notre Dame, Pittsburgh and West Virginia among other schools.
"We've had guys with potential, but no one with (Cordle's) size and strength," Lancaster offensive coordinator Tony Albertini said. "He's in a different league."
Cordle is graduating early from Lancaster and is expected to participate in spring ball at OSU. He joins Lancaster grad Bobby Carpenter with the Buckeyes.
Also in 2004, Lancaster running back Jon Carpenter committed to Cincinnati, where he saw considerable playing time this year. Offensive lineman Tom Stuck, state runner-up in the shot put, is considering Cincinnati, Miami and Purdue among others.

Cordle graded out at 91% for his senior year. He chose Ohio State early on so he didn't have to worry about recruiting. He picked the Buckeyes because of the coaching staff and the tradition.

According to 1460, Jimmy will not sign a LOI since he is an early enrollee.
He will have a small ceremony at his school at approximately 6:30 pm

I would like to see Cordle play center as well. We will definitely need someone to step up after Mangold is gone.
