#96, Mike D'Andrea, SR OLB -- 1981

I'm watching the 1981 OSU/scUM game, and when they announced the D, there was #96, Mike D'Andrea at OLB.

Relation? This guy is from Akron, and he actually looks pretty similar to the current MDA.

Just a coincidence? Someone here must know.

They probably are related. I'm friends with one of Mike D's cousins who went to St. Vincent St. Mary- who is also a D'Andrea.

I'm pretty sure I remember having a conversation about the family having already played at Ohio State before our current Mike D'Andrea- I think that was when our current one was only a sophomore in High School or freshman. He was that huge and good back then. His cousin "just knew it" then.

Anything I've ever heard is that it is coincidence. I do not believe they are related.
