oops and helmets from CFN
Interesting if nothing else. If you go there check out the all-time Hoops and Helmets. Buckeyes make the list for the B-Ball/football combo in 61-62.

The Oops and helmets this year is a great rip on PSU. I know a lot of you aren't big on kicking them while they are down but believe me if you grew up around them in the 80's, they were almost unbearable with their elitisim(very NDish). I am personally enjoying the [censored] out of them sucking balls for so long now.

Yeah, I love ripping on Penn State too. But, it's just getting way too easy.

Anyways, the main point of my post is: WHAT ABOUT 1998/1999 OSU BEING IN THE ALL-TIME GREATS?!?!? The Bucks had one of the strongest football teams I've ever seen (damn that MSU game), with a thriller in the Rose Bowl, and a #2 final ranking. The B-Ball team had a solid year (#2 in the Big Ten), a fourth seed, and then an unforgettable ride to the FINAL-FRICKING-FOUR!!!

I don't see how the '61/'62 group isn't ranked higher...#1 ranked football team in the country that gets shafted out of playing for the national title, and the basketball team being national runners-up.

I wonder what the list would be if you simply added the football and basketball end-of-the-year polls. For example, '98 would be #6 (assuming we were #4 in basketball).
