Chris Wells didn't even get an official offer before Signing Day. That says something about what this staff thinks about Evege and the need for DBs next year. Love to see a kid offered this early with unreal speed and football skills, a desire to stay close to home, and an impeccable academic standing.

It was my understanding that Wells didnt get his offer after signing day as to not "scare" off Mo Wells.

The staff must be very very high on Evege...seeing as how they only offer schollies to select few Ohio kids before signing day (O'Neal and Boone come to mind, and possibly Boren, but not completely sure he got an offer before signing day)

I stand corrected...LJB pointed out that Wells did in fact get his offer in October of 2004.

It looks like we could see more early offers going out to top players who also have their acadmics in order.

From the Notre Dame site...According to his coach, Evege will play mostly on offense next year. Ohio State, Miami (Ohio) and Purdue have offered. Notre Dame and Penn State have been in contact. Evege will attend Notre Dame's Junior Day.

Evege went to ND's junior day this past weekend. He enjoyed his visit. He looks to be recruited on offense by the Irish. Donnie also expounded on his offer from tOSU, which is now hanging on his wall at home. He said tOSU is one of his top schools.

First off, the ND sites are getting to be slant-tagious lately. Secondly, Evege is not going anywhere but OSU.

Yeah Notre Dame is wasting their time. Evege is close to an OSU lock as you can get. IMO Notre Dame might be spreading themselves out too thin for next year with so many 07' prospects thinking they are Charlie's #1 guy.

By Mike Farrell...Evege was at the ND Junior Day. He will also visit Tennessee on January 28th and Purdue on February 11th. He confirms his OSU offer again and speaks highly of OSU and the staff.
