Pretty good list - I'd add Maroney from Minnesota and Skyler Green and Early Doucet of LSU.

I dont know how big Maroney's gonna be now that his Part II is in the draft. He might not have the perma-fresh legs from last year now that he doesnt have another big back to share the load.

I think that could be looked at either way. More carries could just mean more chances for him to break long runs.

Wells has to prove he is even big enough not to redshirt, and haw has to show he can convert his success in practice to gametime success. But both have a lot of longterm potential.

tOSU top-5:
1. Ginn
2. Smith
3. Holmes (while he's not the fastest, he has the most experience, runs the best routes, and has been a gamebreaker for two straight years now)
4. Pittman (showed a lot of flash when he got PT, lets hope his spring woes are short lived)
5. Gonzalez (he's fast, but his big plays weren't making moves after he got the ball... tho it will be interesting to see if he can as well)

National (no way to get it down to 5):
1. Reggie Bush (I think he's barely behind Ginn, but he's done it for two full years and deserves the props for that reason... after september is over I think Ginn will be #1)
2. Teddy Ginn (2nd half of the year he's the best, but for now he's #2 until he does it for a full season)
3. Devin Hester (if we weren't such big tOSU homers and were partial to giving Ginn the props as a returner, we'd talk about him a lot more)
4. Chris Leak (as agile as Young yet he can make unreal throws - ie Tenn game; while Urban might be a little overhyped, this should be a breakout year for Leak regardless)
5. Drew Tate - he might not fit this category, but I sure love watching this kid play. He carried a team without stellar WRs and no running game all the way to another #8 finish and the best bowl game play with that bomb against LSU. Put him on any other top10 team last year and they would have been in the Orange Bowl. He simply is one of the best playmakers (in a slow whiteguy sense) in my book.

Some of those other names are great players no doubt, but the only three that you literally hold your breath on are Bush, Hester and Ginn. These guys are the elite of the elite and really can take it all the way on any play, any touch.

As far as a batting order, there really can't be one its 1a, 1b and 1c in my book. If forced to pick I'd go Bush, Ginn then Hester but wouldn't shed a tear if I had to "settle" for Hester(other than the fact he's from Miami of course).

Bush gets the nod for (currently) having more versatility and proven time in the saddle.

Ginn put up slightly better numbers than Hester in just half a freshman season.

Hester returned 4 punts for TD's himself last year iirc. No small feat and speaks volumes about #1 and #2 if that only gets you a 3 spot.

I can't wait until pasadena when Ginn lines up against Bush. This is precisely why you'll see moer of Ginn at corner after september is over (sept = toughest games with little need for his D and big need for his O). He needs to be experienced going into the Rose Bowl if he's gonna be an effective shadow on Bush.

I love this top 5. My only change would be to move Holmes up to #2, and Smith #3. The best part about this list in my oppinion is you haven't given up on Pittman. I'm rooting for Haw to have a strong season, but I hate the fact that everyone has given up on Pittman. He showed a ton of potential last year, and the Buckeye nation is getting on his case because he made some dumb mistakes during the second half of the year. He's still our #1 RB in my mind.

Well IF we get to the Rose Bowl and IF we play Southern Cal I think that Ginn would Have troubles with Bush by himself. Ginn is great no doubt about that, but putting 180 pound Ginn up against a very quick and illusive 210 pound Bush could physically be too much for Ginn. I'd much rather prefer someone like Whitner who is a for sure tackler and can pack a punch and he can also run. I think Ginn could limit what Bush could do as far as taking it to the house but I could see Bush turning 2 yard gains into 15 yard gains and just keep moving the chains.

Also in the same Capacity if Bush were to gaurd Ginn then forget about it Ginn would get deep on him. Theres a difference as stated earlier with speed. Ginn has probably the best speed AFTER 30 yards where as most will start to fall off.

Won't happen. By the way, since when are September games that toughest? Yeah, we have Texas and Iowa then, but the Big Ten season is always tough. Playing at Penn State (regardless of bad they may or may not be) and Michigan will be as tough or tougher than our home games against Texas and Iowa.
