Texas Game- Rumor

I heard from a solid source today that a Texas Alumni has rented out a large porton of Hiney Gate. I am not exactly sure how this would happen, but it was said that a VERY large amount of money changed hands in order to meet his needs.

I can't imagine the amount of energy that will be put into play with a large amount of texas fans in a hostile environment.....may calm heads prevail!

now riverwatch will rent out the back portion to visiting fan bases, but never in the 14 years that i've been going to osu have I ever heard of anything like that.

All that considered, however, I have no problem sitting here on May 31 and proclaiming, with utmost confidence: Texas will not win that game. That's right, folks, you heard it here first. Ohio State will beat Texas on Sept. 10.* This is nothing against the Longhorns -- who, as I'm sure you're already about to e-mail me and point out, I had ranked higher than the Buckeyes in my post-spring rankings. Texas is coming off an 11-1 season and returns 16 starters, so it deserves to start higher.

But I don't care who you are -- you don't go into the Horseshoe and win when Ohio State is good, especially not at night. Texas could conceivably turn around and win all the rest of its games -- yes, including Oklahoma -- but it's not going to beat the Buckeyes under the lights in Columbus, and neither would any other team.

HineyGate is just a large party with live music thrown for every home game at the Holiday Inn on Lane Ave, roughly across from the Horseshoe. They serve beer and chicks show [censored] and whatnot.

Unfortunately the big screen doesn't face Lane anymore plus they don't show the chicks showing their [censored] nearly as much on the video screen as they used too.

sounds like fun...i have to admit though, the Holiday Inn is really the last place that i would think to go for a party on game day. I guess it gives new meaning to the chingy song though. Is the party a pre, post, or watching party?

Mostly "pre" and it isn't inside the Holiday Inn, it is outside right in front of the parking garage.


After the game you really should take a walk down by the Oval so you can hear the "Victory Bells"
