Getting tired of having to defend my Buckeyes... (email from a Vols fan)

I was surprised to see that the article was actually about a hiring, not a 'roids case. By the way, did you notice they misspelled "positive"? That seems fitting to me. "Positive" isn't in ESPNs vocabulary... literally!

Butch set another world record in 1993 and you'd have to imagine the IAAF was looking at him pretty closely at that time since he had just won a $27 million lawsuit against them. (It was overturned in '94)

I would assume from this that his steroid use (if he ever did use) is behind him and he ran clean at the very least after 1990, so I'm OK with it. Even if guilty, he might be cleaner than a guy that never got caught. Kind of like people who have recently declared bankruptcy are good risks for a loan.

So in short... I'm cool with it, but I hate that it gives ESPN more ammo. They seem to like the Vols too. Check out the last line in this http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=2081283

I don't get the e-mails but I take a lot of [censored] from the guys at work. I got 2 scUM fans and 1 Criami fan that work with me that don't let any chance they have to rag on the Bucks get past them.

I like how "graduated, transferred or were kicked off the team" is put together as if each of those endings are similar.

Against my better judgment, I clicked on the ESPiN link. After waiting about 40 seconds for the damn thing to load I said [censored] it. Nice to see their website is still a POS.

The headline, obviously, is designed to get a rise - sensationalist "journalism", ESPiN style. Tell your UT dip[censored] "Yeah, we brought him in to make sure our boys are injecting properly. Happy now?"

Then remind him he has plenty of his own concerns with Fatass Phil Fullmer and leave it at that. Save the "defending" for when we actually do something. There's nothing here...

I work with some of the worlds biggest UT fans and I have to say they are usually pretty good at keeping their mouth shut on stuff like this.

In fact they offerd support more often than not during the whole Mo C thing because they had been put through ESPN's inquisition previously and knew exactly what we were going through.

I know there is still bad blood from the 95 Citrus Bowl but of all the SEC fans down here (and I've dealt with them all) UT fans aren't that bad as a whole, LSU and Auburn groups are usually pretty cool. Don't even get me [censored]ing started on the 3 florida schools and UGA.
