af, most of us saw your post in the other thread. there are many times where a topic is relevant in two threads, but if everyone started posting in both threads, that would get pretty old in a hurry.

Jonathan Wells got some starts at RB for a while for the Texans. Drew Carter has impressed the Panthers, but been hurt twice. Hartsock is the 2nd TE at Indy. Gamble was on offense, but is now playing D for Carolina. Not much after that, but I don't have the info on the walk-ons that saw the field.

It's not like tressel has had that many players go through his system. He has three o-linemen starting, and a few others playing as reserves. He has one TB playing in Wells, and his other main guy should only have been a senior this year. That guy had talent to play in the league, just not the mental side. At wideout, Jenkins is playing as a #1, Carter is playing (w/o all the injuries, coulkd be a starter), Gamble is starting on the other side of the ball. Hartsock and Krenzel are quality back-ups.

Outside of these players, Tressel hasn't groomed any others that have gone through the system and finished. His first true recruiting class are this season's Seniors/rs juniors. Fox and last years class was a partial recruiting year for Tress.

Tressel has had talent and playmakers. The staff groomed these players and they are furthering their careers in the pros, isn't that why they went to OSU (to get to the NFL/earn a degree)?

Everyone of his recruits thus far has won an NC or has years left to win one. His recruits all have a winning record or at least a split with Michigan. Tressel is doing a solid job and he is putting our kids in a position to win. Execution has been a factor in our losses the past few years.

I'm getting tired of all of the Sunday/Monday Morning QB'ing. WOuld it be nice to have a Norm Chow high powered offense to supplement our defense? Yes, but what about on a rainy/snow day in November? What then? I truly believe our coaching staff is working their asses off in order to develop a plan that will win games. We will win another one soon, but it is very hard. All of the stars must align properly. It's just the way the ball rolls.

Let's be proud of what we are doing, and let's have faith in our staff and our players. Let's support them and realize that we can still accomplish a lot of goals this year. Let's provide an environment for our team that supports greatness, and not support an environment where they are afraid to make mistakes.

And hey, AT LEAST WE AREN'T MICHIGAN!!!!!

Agreed. Ohio State has won 6 NC's in 117 years - let's not crucify JT for winning only one in his first five seasons.

I guess this is the average of the 5 and the 7 that are usually claimed.
