Zwick vs. Smith (official thread)
I saw Troy Smith in for a play at Tail Back and Zwick got the reps at QB. Is this a sign of things to come? Or will this play out similar to how McMullen lost the spot to Krenzel when Bellisari was busted? For instance if Zwick is 1-6 with an INT or something- then, Smith gets his shot type of deal.
I just found this to be a somewhat interesting sub-plot.

I wonder if there is a chance Smith could play the role Michael Robinson does for Penn State now?

Bucknutty, that was the first thing I thought of when #10 ran out there in the 2nd quarter. The problem with that play was its predictability. I'm sure the Washington D was made aware of Smith as soon as he crossed the sidelines. He should've been used as a decoy a few times before taking a snap.
The SDSU game should be interesting. I'm assuming OSU should be able to get all 3 backups some meaningful snaps.

I think we have to see how the clean up time is delegated during the next game before we know enough to spectulate about who is leading between the two. Zwick may have the edge but your right, whoever wins will have to win games and make plays. Or the next man will get a chance at his job.

"I saw Troy Smith in for a play at Tail Back "
He was at QB, not TB.

I have taped the game but still have been unable to really stay awake or time it right to stay awake. By the second half the other night I was half in the bag and I was having a party, so, my apoplogies. I just coulda sworn what I saw. I was wrong.
The reason I taped the game on FOX NW was so I could obtain with some veracity the way things went down.
Now, some Buckeye fan at work who didn't get to see the game wants to watch it (FSU was on down here on Saturday night- but I have DirecTV yata yata).

If you get bored, add to this (or replace it with) a poll. I'm still going through everything and testing it out, so that would be a bonus.
Oh, and Justin Zwick is where my money is. Although I'd be equally excited should Smith win the job. The real question for me is, if JZ wins the job, is TS the backup or does he focus on another position? Either way, who is behind one or both of those guys at the next backup slot? Szep? Boeckman? Xavier Lee? (I know, I'm just still holding out hope on that one...)
