WR Taurian Washington (official thread)

I'm bummed about it, I hope TWash can put it all together in a game one day. I remember Drew Carter's career going very similar to Taurian's, but one weekend (can't remember the game) he put together some spectacular catches and got his rhythm going and became one of our best wideouts before he got injured.

Hope something similar happens in this scenario!

No not weird if you don't/can't catch the ball consistently and you're a WR. And you have younger, hungrier players nipping at your heels too! Wish this kid could get it together but in the mean time he needs to work on his fundamentals.

I was definitely part of the Taurian fan club going into the season... Good news for him is, it's not as if Tress & Co. weren't willing to give him a shot this season. If he puts another good 1) bowl practice, 2) spring & 3) fall together like he was rumored to have this past year, he will be right back in the mix.

I just don't get it. He looked like he was ready for show time this year. I mean, even more than other years. He looked like Pryor's go to guy in the spring game. Truly baffling.

kid's got to realize that you need to practice and prepare your best everyday.

Like a lot of mere mortals, Taurian suffers from nerves at game time. From what I hear this kid catches everything and does everything the coaches ask of him during practice.....but come game time he has a tough time calming down and doing what he does well. I wouldn't write him off just yet....he still has a little time to get things right.

Not trying to write him off, but what are the realistic chances he sees the field by the time he graduates? He won't crack the 4-5 deep this year, Small leaves this year but then we also will have Fields, Jackson and maybe Brown available not to mention the frosh WRs we have coming in. I mean nothing against Taurian, but sometims kids r just "practice" players and cant bring it over to the game. He still has another year but it's not looking likely that we'll see much from him. What a shame
