WR/DB Grant Schwartz (official thread)

Grant Schwartz
Dual-threat quarterback / Safety
Dana Point (CA) Dana Hills
Height: 6-foot-0 (Nike)
Weight: 201 pounds (Nike)
40-yard dash: 4.5 seconds
Bench reps: 20 (Nike)
Vertical leap: 33 inches (Nike)
Shuttle time: 4.21 seconds
GPA: 3.0
2003 stats (defense): 70 tackles
2004 stats (offense): 1,900 yds passing, 13 TD's; 500 yds rushing, 9 TD's
Like Ryan Williams, Konrad Reuland, and David Ausberry, Grant is another Californian with Ohio ties - his father, Brian, played football for the Bucks from 1976-79. Grant performed well at OSU's summer camp, where he worked out with the defensive backs.
Ohio State is Grant's dream school, and he would likely commit if offered; his only offer to date is Colorado State.

Pretty good measurables and versatility to play multiple positions. If he puts on a little more muscle, it looks like he'd make an intimidating hitter at safety

Grant's 100 meters best was 10.72. They round up anything beyond 1 100th for reporting purposes. This was hand timed. Best hand timed 200 was 22.2. 22.81 was an accutrac time at the Irvine Invitational. Spent most of track season nursing various leg injuries that eventually ended his season prematurely. Official SPARQ 40 @ USC Senior Camp 4.41. 6'0" barefoot, heels to the wall & 201 pounds.
