Freshmen #'s
When will the freshmen receive their numbers and will we know if any of the upper classmen will change theirs. I know that Boone will wear 61 but don't know about anyone else.

I've always thought that they get their numbers beginning or middle of fall practice.

That was my first impression too, but they must obviously give numbers out to freshmen who enroll early during spring practice (ala Moc, Rehring, Pittman).

2005 Freshmen
Here are my top two candidates:
1.Doug Worthington
2.Freddie Lenix
Possible third:
3.James Laurinaitis...
I love the size, rawness, and potential of Doug Worthington, which could lead to early PT at defensive end.
Freddie Lenix can flat out just play the game. With his speed and versatility, he is almost assured to see the field somewhere (linebacker, safety, and running back). He could be a beast on special teams (Think Sirjo Welch???). I would personally love to see him at SS. He could be the next Mike Doss. Not taking anything away from a future all-american Donte Whitner...
James Laurinaitis (193 tackles, 28 Tackles for loss, son of a wrestler named "Animal", and also a hockey player)....ENOUGH SAID
These are just 3 guys that I felt might see considerable action, mostly on special teams, with the exception of Worthington....
What are some of your thoughts?

Since you didn't specify true freshman. I would say Dukes and Haw. True freshman. I'll say Worthington and Jamario O'Neal

Good call on Worthington, I agree with you. His size and athletism mixed with the lack (thus far) of a dominant rush end will lead to him seeing the field quite a bit this season.
Alex Boone is in the mix for obvious reasons. Jamario O'Neal.....ditto.
