Fair enough, but I think Pittman and Wells could carry the load. And if Troy Smith is our starter our need for a RB is slightly lessened. I think Wells will be undersized and have trouble contributing big time right away... whereas I think its very possible Jamario could be put out there later in the season in coverage and definitely has a shot at being the next Sirjo on the coverage team.

id agree
look for half of them to play of course in different amounts, and the other half to redshirt.

Wells will see some time though at running back. His speed is to great to ignore! especially with only having 3 running backs on scholly...
My top two
1) wells
2) Jamario O'neal.

1. With Pittman and Haw, we've got the pair. Now we need the spare: Maurice Wells
2. JT learned last year that when you have a kid who runs at light-speed, you don't keep him on the bench -- especially if he's from Glenville: Jamario O'Neal

You can put Lenix in that light-speed, Glenville category too. The only problem I could imagine with Lenix is the versatility tag that people place on athletes that sometimes hurts them. As a possible linebacker, running back, and strong safety, he might not get enough reps at each one. I'm guessing special teams for him this year, and then take your pick for 2006.

I've been hearing from very reliable sources that Cordle is way, way ahead of the power curve, and is quote, "scary good". I would think he'll work his way into the two-deep on the OL.
As for Worthington, I don't see him getting all that much play...he may crack the two-deep if he's really excellent.
Lennix simply has no where to play right now while they figure out where to plug him in. Translation: He'll be a special-teams monster.
Laurinaitis will most likely red-shirt...we just are too loaded at LB to get him on the field for any worthwhile playing time. Let him watch and learn, and play scout teams for a year. That way he'll have his four full years of eligibility left after The Big Four graduate.

hopefully the staff will make special efforts to get these folks some PT... and that we don't have that big experience vacuum like last year... I really hope there are opportunities to interject the entire 2nd corp at LB...

1. Jamario
2. Worthington
3. Boone/Cordle
Although I think Lenix will be great, there's a few problems with him getting early PT:
1. LB is stacked.
2. He needs some more weight
3. If he moves to sa | |
