I like where Herbie is coming from......The bottom line is that Michigan's defense has been there weakness for several years now and losing several linebackers and two supposedly All-Americans in the secondary will not help that defense.

A: I don't know about (Carr's being on a) hot seat or anything like that, but I will say, if Ohio State beats Michigan in Ann Arbor this year, that would be 4-1, and at that point, it's official (Tressel) is in (Carr's) head.
I lived it on the other side. And as much as John Cooper and any Ohio State fan will say, "Ah, it wasn't that big a deal. It wasn't mental," it was 100 percent mental.
So if Tress goes to Ann Arbor and beats him, he will be 2-1 in Ann Arbor, and 4-1 overall, and at that point, he's firmly entrenched in the back of the mind of Lloyd Carr.
If Michigan wins the game, I think everybody is like, "Oh, see, we're OK, everything is OK. I told you there's not a mental thing there."

I do have to add that I think Coach Tressel is already in LLLoyd's head and it happened after Tressel's first victory in ann arbor. Right then he realized that this was not John Cooper and things would no longer be so one-sided.

i think that Tressel has been in llloyd's head ever since he went for it on 4th down near mid-field, and Jonathan Wells took it to the house for six... that play has had a pretty major impact on the rivalry... didn't llloyd put Gonzales in at QB on the next drive, which lead to the safety?

Has anyone seen the Time Warner commercial with Herbie in it???
He slams Michigan fans 
It's about adult literacy, and a group of fans are lined up and have "Read" spelled wrong. He looks at them and laughs and says "Must be Michigan fans". |
