IMO after the Ray Small situation last year they were playing this extra cautious, and for a little conspiracy theory letting other schools come after him while garnering attention for other players. Much like Ginn Sr. always said about wanting his highly rated guys to wait till later in the process to allow other kids to get more looks.
And BTW it is great to finally have the Official offer next to his name, and I think we all know the drill by now...
