I'm with you (also class of '90).

I can't believe we are letting kids forget that success is not a birthrite and winning is something you earn. I can see in some cases where people could be offended by things, but finding a gun in a team logo offensive is just the bottom of the barrel. How did we get this low?

Just for fun - in light of Pete going Pistol-less, what about those quirky school names, and nowhere are they more quirky than at the High School level.

Here is a list of some High School Nicknames - often with links to their school sites.
Still plenty of Indians and Cowboys and what-not out there at the grass roots level.

There is the Savannah-Johnson Atom Smashers - who's web-site says "Under Construction" - bet it is permanently.

The Paho High School Daggers - Wonder what kind of Mascot they have?

Orlando Colonial has the Grenadiers -- and surely their imagery's not right.

Then on the level of self flagellation there is the Watersmeet, MI Nimrods

Plus for those who thought Pete having a Pistol was too politically incorrect, there are the Chillicothe Ohio Sherman Tanks
