More from the Columbus Dispatch!

By Tim May

Back on the go

If the first 20 minutes of practice were any indication, quarterback Justin Zwick was on the fast track to a return. Sidelined most of last week and through Saturday's scrimmage because of a left ankle spain, he took part in warm-ups yesterday and appeared to be moving well.
Meanwhile, receiver Santonio Holmes was sidelined, reportedly because of a sprained foot.

Taking a peek

ESPn has traveled the country this past month broadcasting scenes from several preseason camps. It's Ohio State's turn Wednesday. ESPN will be allowed to televise the entire morning practice, and portions will be broadcast from 1 to 2 p.m. that day.

Hitting smart

The ESPN cameras likely won't have a chance to capture safety Nate Salley or the rest of the defenders lighting up Ted Ginn Jr., Anthony Gonzalez or other high-profile players should they venture over the middle. Salley, considered one of the harder hitters on the team, said he knows where to draw the line in terms of possibly jeopardizing the health of one of his team's meal tickets.
"It's kind of hard for me to go at them all the way because you know that's one of your main guys," Salley said. "There is an instinct to make the big hit, but you kind of ease up a little bit because it's not a game...You want them to feel that your'e there but you don't want to knock'em out...Now, come game time, you really don't care about those guys on the other team."
