From I seen in between freezing my butt off at the spring game, Schnittker looked pretty decent carrying the ball...H e has that way of punishing the DBS if he gets back there. He even turned the corner once LOL. |

He also won most of his track meets this spring in the 100m and 200m. I saw on the Marist HS website that his best time this year in the 100m is 10.89 and his best in the 200m is 22.20. Not too bad and it means he's a hell of a lot faster than the 4.59/40 that Rivals reports that he runs.

All those backs mean [censored] if the OL doesn't block. Just look at Michigan's two goal line stands against us. The OL did quite a good job pass blocking most, and rush blocking inside our own 20, but outside our own 20 the rush blocking was quite lacking for the most part. I'm not an OL expert, but it looked like they didn't pick up the last-second DL shifts, especially near their goal line.

On fourth and one I want to see Schnittker lined up in front of Haw. Schnittker is a bruiser, but if the line misses a block he doesn't have the speed or vision to make the adjustment.
The O-Line should be improved this year if for no other reason than there are backs with better vision (Pittman and Haw) than we've had since #13 left. An offensive line is only as good as the guy picking which hole to run through and knowing how hard to hit it, when to cut back, bounce it out etc.
