"Spread Offense?"
Does anyone know where Tressel and Bollman have gone to learn about installing the "spread" offense that is all the rage right now in College FB?
Have they simply studied tape, hired assistants with system experience, hired consultants, etc???
Thanks, I don't recall hearing much about the details of the metamorphosis.

didnt our new secondary coach or something come from a school that ran the spread offense? i thought i remember that that was why he was hired because of his knowledge of the spread offense.
i could be wrong though.

yep thats the one, my bad.
tressel really is preparing for the growing trend of the spread offense. bringing in beckman because of his knowledge, and recruiting smaller/quicker linebackers to counter that offense.

Did you hibernate through last season? We more snaps out of the four-wide formation than any other...

but I bet I didn't recall it because I was constantly beating my head against a wall with habitual three-and-outs...not to mention the agony of watching late game heroics by Nuge to beat the likes of Marshall to lead us to a winning season. Or maybe my subconscious will not permit me to remember it to ensure my sanity remains intact, or maybe that is already gone, I'm not quite sure ...
Here's hoping for a powerful and dominating offensive season, because I know our defense will always show up on Saturday.
