My thinking is this - make an arrangement for an individual to get the games down onto DVD or a full game PVR MPEG file. Set it up to pull the DVD or file on one of the full game downloads. Play it on your computer (or burn your own and play on your set). Lag time 24-36 hours.

End of problem. Course, you will be seeing what you have read about, but that is surely better than not seeing at all.

If this too technically challenging I can think of someone (like me) capable of making extra DVD's - but that means shipping over to Afrique or wherever you are located these days. Which adds days to the journey - and you will have a much greater delay between game and viewing.
Some European DVDs seem to be in some weird format outside NTSC/PAL/SECAM formats, but USA DVDs play here just fine.

Of course, the drawback is that the game is over but you are right in that it would be better than nothing. It would be great if I had the discipline to ignore the game and wait but I don't. So, presently, if I can't get access, I listen on the Columbus radio feed from 1460thefan.com and watch the stats on CBSSportsline.com.

I am convinced that in five years time, we will all be able to dial into the game through some kind of BP link and have a running screen of comments along the bottom, etc. The technology is moving fast and media continues to fragment. Imagine that! Just think what this is like when we can move away from text to voice and image, as well.

This is all just gonna be so cool!

I just ordered Gameplan myself yesterday. Down here in FLA, my ABC regional games are normally of the GA Tech v. NC State variety. The thing that bothers me is that it only occupies five channels (511 to 516) at any time - if I can't watch the buckeyes every week I'll be royally [censored]ed. The whole point for me getting this deal was so I wouldn't spend 50 bucks at a bar every time the bucks weren't on local TV..

I just ordered the season from http://allaccess.cstv.com/subscripti...d=osu_08082005 But now I am starting to think it may have been a mistake. Do they show the games live, or do they let you listen to the games live (audio only)? I could already listen to the games live on the internet for free. Unless they actually show the games, I think I just threw away $40. I don't have any cable options, so the internet is all I have.

Example of my weird tv: Yankees network showing Ball St. v. Iowa. Woo!!

About bars: I like watching games in bars, and do for some. A bar here (Blondies) is all Ohio State (and a sports bar next door is too, for overflow).

However, sometimes I like it better at home. For example: first game of the year. I want to watch the new players on the field, rewind and replay, see who is missing assignments, who is pancaking on the line, etc. etc.

Bars often crowd out the little things, but have more pomp and cheer. I like bars later in the year (though I am going to one for Texas, big group thing. . .)

I just ordered the Game Plan online deal for $99. This has me very excited. Last year, I had to listen to the Bucks online via 1460 The Fan ( http://www.1460thefan.com/tf.php?story=radiohio/1460thefan/2004newfan/liveplayer.php## )
It is totally free, and a great broadcast of the game (audio only). I will still fall back on this option if a game is not covered by Game Plan.

The CSTV deal seems to just cover the games via Live Audio, which would be a waste of money when you can always listen Live via 1460 The Fan for free.

26 hours and 10 minutes to go. GO BUCKS!!!!
