The Season
The days are growing shorter
And the air begins to cool
The coaches give no quarter
When the boys return to school
Our poignant separation
Has lasted far too long
The combatants’ preparation
Has left them fit and strong
Rehearsal time has ended
The band will march out soon
And then they’ll leave the field
And our wait will end at noon
But the Shoe will fill by eleven
With Old Glory proudly unfurled
God is in His heaven
And all is right with the world
Go Bucks
