In years past I would always watch the Bucks or the Browns with the radio on and the TV audio muted, because I always preferred the radio broadcasts.
This year, I got DVR and more channels. Now I am hooked on recording the games and watching them about 20-30 minutes after they start so I can fast forward through the commercials. By the time I pause a few times or replay a questionable play, I'll still be behind a bit at halftime so I can fast forward through part of the halftime drivel.
I typically catch up in the third quarter.
Bottom line: I miss the radio broadcasts, but I sure as [censored] don't miss waiting through the damn commercials.

Buh Nim brought up some great not so long ago memories.
Listening to Lachey yelling "defense, defense" into the microphone as the final play of the 2003 Fiesta Bowl was happening, and then hearing him screaming like a drunken idiot after Cie sacked Dorsey was numbing. Gotta love the "Our-Side-Homers." Peace.

I used to Love Terry Smiths play by play calling and when EDDIE broke the single game rushing, that was Awesome to listen to Terry call that game.
What ever happened to Terry Smith and where did he go?

Terry Smith
He is now doing MLB. Was with Arizona, I think he is with one of the west coast teams now.
Did a decent job on game day, but his radio program with Herbie was awful. Wanna locker?

Keels has his troubles, but he has a good voice. Lachey is very good. I would rather listen to Keels mis call a screen, get the yardage wrong, etc... than listen to whoever it is that thinks our colors are Garnet and Grey, or hear about Barn Childress.

Last I heard, he was the play by play commentator for the Anaheim Angels radio broadcasts.
