Keith does suck, but he was nowhere near as bad as Fouts in the Fiesta Bowl 2002. Fouts had such a Miami bias it made me sick. The only saving grace was that his lips were so far up Kellen Winslow's ass that he couldn't talk a whole lot.

I f*ckin' hate Fouts ever since our NC Fiesta Bowl game. I want to break something every time I think of him saying 'Bad call, bad call!'. What a dipshit. Anyone with two eyes saw that Gamble was being mugged on that play.

it is keith jackson who, AFTER the 2002 season, said that he thought the 2 best teams in the country that year were USC and Oklahoma.

some classic keith moments from the fiesta:

on that now famous 3rd down play where gamble got held, then caught the ball near the sidelines (but it was ruled incomplete), with the next play being the big parrish punt return:

"Oh it was almost intercepted!!! (He looks at the replay) But...not...quite."

Keith: "When was the last time you saw a team where one of the fullbacks was named Branden Joe and the other was named Brandon Schnittker?"
Dan: "Uhh...never."

"Craig Trenzle....i mean...Krenzel."

Dan Fouts

"Krenzel has three completions. One for each quarter."

"The fourth quarter is Dorsey Time."

Last year during a game (i forget who was announcing, it wasn't keith or brent though) there was a brief moment of silence. Then out of nowhere the announcer says, "Molecular genetics."

During last year's michigan-oregon game, michigan was on its final drive. navarre's 4th down pass falls incomplete, oregon starts celebrating wildly, and michigan trudges off the field.

Keith: "And now it is 4th down."
(pause)
Dan: "Uhh, it's over, Keith."
Keith: "So it is."

Brent Musburger screams college football, ESPECIALLY Big Ten football on a cold, windy November day. Watching him, you can feel how excited he is, and you know that he'd rather be right there than at any other place in the world. When you hear his voice, you know it is going to be a great game. The funny thing is, whenever I hear him do a miami-florida state game the excitement just is not there. He is a Big Ten guy through and through, balls to bones. He is the Voice of the Buckeyes. I bought a highlight video of the 2002 season. IT SUCKED. For all the highlights, instead of having the TV announcers, it had the radio guys play-by-play as the voiceover. And whoever does the radio broadcasts for the buckeyes is physically uncapable of capturing the excitement.

If I am watching an OHio State football game, only Brent Musburger will do. Nobody else can measure up. He is King. He was MAGNIFICENT during the 2002 season, especially in the purdue, illinois, and michigan games, all of which I am thankful to own on tape. Can you imagine if he had done the Fiesta? He'd have creamed his pants!!! Instead we get to heir keith drone "The Buckeyes win. (there is a pause as dan nudges him awake) They are 14-0."

Somebody correct me if I am wrong, but I don't remember Brent doing any of our games last year? Brent always roots for the underdog, and plays up and drama he can find. I like listening to him and I like getting pissed off at him.

Exactly BT. It's criminal the way Paul Keels sucked the life out of those broadcasts. I will never accept that. Fortunately Brent saved the broadcast version of that season with the "Holy Buckeye" call among others. That was absolutely classic.

This quote is somewhat inaccurate. I know, because the thing that drove me nuts the most during that NC Fiesta Bowl was listening to Fouts repeatedly mis-pronounce Krenzel's name. Every single time, he said "Krentzel". I hate that pus-valve.

MegaWoody has disabled reputation
Fouts is a moron. He's a warm-weather, good ole boy who believes whatever coaches tell him ...and he only talks to southern coaches, who are also, typically, morons. He hasn't got the temperment to do research, read, or think for himself, so when he talks, all you hear is a tape of Larry Coker or Bobby Bowden running out of his mouth.

Keith Jackson used to be the very best, but he's old now and doesn't seem to have anything new to say. Kind of like your grandfather who keeps telling you the same stories over and over, again and again. And doesn't remember to zip up his fly. You pay attention to him, out of respect, but it's kind of sad and sooner or later everyone is rolling their eyes.

Brent has still got it. He understands that college football is the most emotional game in America today and he doesn't worry about letting the emotion carry him away a little. He knows that emotion is a huge part of the fun. That's why Lee Corso, although sometimes a little lame, is still on GameDay. He brings emotion and fun to every broadcast. Contrast him with a boob like Mark May who seems to think football is particle physics. You can practically see his veins pop out when he tries to think and talk at the same time.

My favorite Brentism is "Shiv-o-lay". "A $1000 contribution will be made to the general scholarship fund of Tuskabooloo Unviersity in the name of Ricky Ricardo ...our Shiv-o-lay Player of the Game." I love the guy ...always have.
