Well, I hope the Buckeyes are ready. While I first have to say that I do not expect this, what if LSU thumps y'all? I mean, dominates you. If Michigan is beaten by Florida, that would be two in a row that the two powers were dominated in Bowls. That scenario would be the absolute worst thing you could imagine if you are a Buckeye. Even if the BIg-10 wins its other bowls, the clammer about "SEC Speed" and an infereior Big-10 would be even greater than it is now, if possible.
As a guest here (which I very much enjoy btw), I have watched a surprisingly large number of posts that pour contempt and anger at the SEC and (mostly) at the perception that many feel that the SEC is so superior.
Please note that I am not here to defend that position of SEC superiority, not at all, as I have made my views known in numerous other threads. What I am getting at is this: while this game is the perfect antidote to the game last January if you win it in LSU's back yard, what about the truly awful and unimaginable possibility of a convincing LSU win? Does that - situation - where there is even more than your average bragging rights on the game - put extra pressure on the team that could be a distraction, or is that the very motivation and crystalization of purpose that makes a Buckeye win a foregone conclusion?

I don't think the Bucks are thinking about the possibility of a blowout either way. I think they will prepare for this expecting an incredibly hard fought battle that could go either way. LSU will likely prepare the same way. The result will be 2 teams that should be playing at their absolute peak.
I just highly doubt that they're even entertaining the possibility of a blowout either way. And the focus that comes with preparing for a huge showdown like this will prevent either team from getting blown out, IMO.
But yes if we did somehow get blown out I would probably cry myself to sleep every night for the next year =/ .

This Buckeye team does not enter the NC game believing the sun shines out their rears. There were problems at quarterback the last two games. Their offense did not put up big numbers when opponents offensive lines put on real pressure. The defense on the other hand was simply stunning to watch.
The guys know what is on the line. They will be ready. Don't count TSUN out either. Hart will be healthy. They were embarrassed their last game. It will not be a walk in the park.

...You mean something I did a lot of last year. I don't know what I would do other than get ready for a new season and continue to hear that the Big 10 is "fradulent".

Yeah. I am worried about seeing a reversal of last January, with the Gators basking in the Heisman glow and watching the Oregon game tape, only to have their confident hat handed to them by a [censored]ed off skunk bear squad.

Oklahoma and Florida. Replace West Virginia with tOSU, and that's my guess for the preseason top-5 next year. I'm not saying it will be an accurate top-5, just that those teams will most likely be there in the preseason polls.
Now if USC, Georgia, Oklahoma, or Florida lose in their bowl games, that could change.
