Add one more positive note - our offense has inched up to 58th. Still need more work on the passing game. |

Although we all love to see our teams in good positions statistically...
<TABLE class=statstable><TBODY><TR><TD>Scoring Defense </TD><TD></TD><TD></TD><TD>Nebraska </TD><TD>5.33</TD><TD align=middle>1</TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE> that just shows how early it is and how much things can change, no way in hell will Nebraska be in even the top 10 by season's end in scoring D. |

Thanks for the info. What is even more remarkable is that we are ranked that high in run defense and scoring D after playing Texas and Iowa (two preseason top 10 teams) in 2 of the first 4 games.

How can they put that up this week when 2 teams have yet to play?

Two stats not mentioned that are incredibly important and impressive to me are:
Offense 3rd-down efficiency: Rank 10th, Attempts 62, Conversions 33, Percentage 53.2 Defense 3rd-down efficiency: Rank 16th, Attempts 53, Conversions 14, Percentage 26.4 |

against these teams in the big ten that gave up 30-40 points yesterday i just can't imagine what our O will do to them, i look towards the indiana game for us to have 650-700+ yards of total offense

Good call, BiM. Looking at the new rankings, that Minny game is looming larger than just about any of us thought it would. Presuming the Gophers win at Happy Valley next weekend, they could be Top 15 by the time the Bucks roll into the Twin Cities.
Our LBs versus their stable of RBs should be one of the better games of the year. |

Dont hold your breath, it wont happen. JT would call off the dogs well before that, no need to run up the score like that. |

Being in the top 30 nationally in rushing offense is a breath of fresh air.
