It's about in-between the Coaches and AP poll...only has MSU a little higher, Tennessee a little lower...and, of course, it is the only one of the three that has Michigan receiving a spot in the roster of 25.

not to look too far ahead but it appears the mich st. game will be a battle of two top ten teams. the spartans are averaging 49 pts/gm so far. i see them beating scUM by 14. should be a good one.

scUM lite will roll next week. Then we will hear "TAPS" being played for old LLLoyd Carr's season. Some top five team in the nation.

Illinois? That must be a typo. Crap...Indiana deserves a vote more than Illinois.

How about Loserville? How do you get pasted like that and still get consideration?

I don't mind Louisville at 24. They did lose big, but they have also won big this year. I think they are a team that is right around #25 in the country...maybe 25-35...but I think 24 is fair. 25 is fair for scUM too I think. Considering they lost close games to #17 and #13 and won fairly easy in their cupcake games. I personally wouldn't have scUM in my top 25, but I'd have them in my top 30.
I also like that UF is over LSU. That's more like it. LSU shouldn't be in the top 5. LSU vs. Tennacheat is going to be a matchup between the two most overrated teams in the rankings. |

I definitely buy that the Vols are over-rated. LSU on the other hand has won under very difficult circumstances in week 1 (home field advantage removed by Katrina, no warm-up game for the same reasons). If they follow up with a good win against the Vols I think they can lay a legitimate claim to their ranking. Wonder how the pollsters are going to handle this - this weather altered scheduling does mean the polls are not in sync. |

This is just a mirror image of the Coaches and AP polls. I'm convinced we should be ahead of Georgia. They struggled with a terrible Mississippi St. team. We'd crush them if we played them, even in Athens.
