during the play(s) in which he got 'beat' the receiver went OUT OF BOUNDS (TWICE!!!), and Fox correctly broke off coverage to help the middle... it is not Dustin's fault that the Refs failed to flag the recevier when he came back in to catch the ball...

Matthews looked great in both the jersey scrimmage and the spring game. Only problem he'll have this year is getting playing time. You have to love the speed he brings to the table. Hopefully he gets a chance to show what he's made of this fall.

Bobby Carpenter. With all the attention on Schlagel and Hawk, Carpenter I can see getting over looked but making some huge plays.
Others worthy of consideration are Mangold, and Hamby

For some reason I am going to go with Troy Smith. Somewhere in the middle of the season he is going to come thru with a couple of breakout plays to help us win some critical games. Simon Frazer is my second choice.

"Unsung" to me means one who consistently makes the plays yet doesn't get recognized for it. Fox, Fraser, Carpenter, Mangold, Ross, and some others mentioned so far have all been recognized by fans and media for their performances. Brandon Joe would be my pick for "unsung" in that he plays solid fullback and yet aside from we hardcore BP (and those others over on Bustnuts) fans, the average Buckeye fan and the general media know little about him or appreciate his contributions.
