Upset Saturday?
1) USC @ ASU
2) Texas @ Missouri 3) Va Tech @ W.Va 4) LSU lost to Tennesee. 10/1 @MSU 5) Florida @ Alabama 6) Florida St. vs. Syracuse 7) Georgia - idle 8) Ohio State - idle 9) Miami vs. S.Florida 10) Tennesee beat #4 LSU. 10/1 vs. Miss Four of the top five teams play what should be competitive games on the road. LSU already lost and could be in a dog fight with MSU. If they all lose what does your top five look like? |

The SEC and ACC guys will take each other out. Its all about UT and USC for us as far as a NC shot goes.
I will be happy with 1 out of 4 upsets this weekend, anything else is a bonus. They do tend to come in bunches however so who knows? |

Granted it's unlikely all four would be upset, but if it happened I have a funny feeling USC would still be voted #1 if it was a close game. The same way I knew they'd drop us significantly after a narrow loss to #2. Perception seems to be everything among voters who rank teams before they play then force them to live with the consequences.

If we just take care of business we should be in the top 5 of both human polls when the first BCS poll comes out. That's without an exorbatent amount of upsets, if we get a rash of those, all the better.
NC hopes still always come back to USC and Texas being in the way. It will take either 2 losses or 1 really late/bad one from either one in order for us to ever jump them. |

Given the rash of injuries USC has suffered on defense, ASU may be the last best chance for an upset on their schedule-the Devils are in position to take advantage of USC's weakness on D right now. V-Tech has the toughest road to hoe of any of the main contenders-the ACC is a bitch.

Because of the large number of Top-10 teams playing on the road, there's a chance this weekend could outdo the Great Big Ten Massacre of 9/10/2005. And for our sake, I hope that happens.

It's obvious they are all going to lose, even Florida State to Syracuse. So next weeks poll is definitely going to look like this:
1. Georgia 2. Ohio State 3. Michigan State 4. Tennessee So it's Ohio State vs. Michigan State for the national championship. Wow, amazing! GO BUCKS!!! |

If Texas wins at Ohio State, they win at Mizzou. Although the Hokies will probably bitch-slap the Mountaineers, this could be the most interesting. Hokies did not dominate on the road at NC State. In Gators vs. Crimson Tide matchup, at least one team I want to lose will. FSU v Syracuse doesn't seem too exciting. Although I haven't seen 'Cuse play, it appears that they suck. Canes could have trouble, but will win. |

i'll take 20-17 Alabama over Florida.. and of course... ASU win over USC will be great. 38-35

Everyone harken back to '02 and what all of the prognosticators were saying about Oklahoma. The Sooners were hanging 40+ on every team they played. EVERYONE said that they could NEVER loose.
Enter...Texas A&M. The only thing certain is that crazy [censored] always happens in CFB. |

Difference is we have 1 loss ourselves this year. 1 Loss by USC to a ranked ASU team will not drop them below us imo. It will take 2 or 1 really bad one late.
