Even if we win out OSU will have its hands full staying ahead of a one-loss SEC Champion. We need a couple of our opponents to stand out and stay high enough in the ratings to make our wins credible in the eyes of the pollsters. If Louisville can jump us, so can a Tennessee or Auburn that has beaten Georgia and Alabama.
IMO only an undefeated major can keep the SEC champ out of the Rose Bowl. |

And it's quite possible that the SEC champ could be a 2-loss Tennessee, Georgia, or Florida team that has a non-conference loss to ND, GaTech, or Florida State, respectively. But I agree with your position that a 1-loss SEC champ is a threat to jump us in the BCS. ![]() |

Of USC, UCLA, and Cal, at least two will lose since they all play each other. Nebraska and Texas Tech also play each other, so there's another guaranteed loss. So of those five, at least three will have a loss, and that's if either USC, UCLA, or Cal sweeps the other two...if they each end up handing one of the others a loss, then that's four out of the five with a loss.
I doubt there will be more than a couple of undefeated teams left at the time of bowl selections. |

I agree with that assessment, team's will beat up on each other. Then some will flat out choke their season away.

I can easily see Wisconsin running the table with the rest of their schedule. @ Penn State looks like a good challenge now, but we'll see if it still looks that way after Saturday.

But, Wisky has started a trend of petering out at the end of the season.

Their only challenge should be an over-rated Miaim team at home. Agree, they would have to stumble. It will be interesting to see where their RPI ends up. While we are at it, can someone explain why Virginia is still ranked? They are 3-1 with victories over a MAC school and two teams with losing records. Ditto for BC. 4-1 with a loss at home and four wins over teams with combined records of 3-14. Freakin overrated ACC. |

They definitely have a good team, and an even better schedule. They will have to beat themselves to lose a game... |

I sure hope the team and coachs aren't analyzing this stuff as much as some fans are. We've got to win our games first. Penn State is obviously a good team this year...I hope the focus is on winning this game, and then taking it from there. Beating Penn State on the road would be a big win for the Buckeyes. JoPa for some reason takes the Ohio State game more serious than any other game during the season. This is Penn State's biggest game of the year, and they are undefeated and ranked 16th in the country. Even if we get past them, we still have Michigan State, Minnesota, and scUM. The latter two on the road. I'm not saying we can't win out...we most definitely can. But the road is tough, and personally i'm more interested right now in next weeks game than who everybody else plays. BEAT PENN STATE!
