He just doesn't seem comfortable out there, whereas CK seemed to be in complete control of himself and the situation. With that comfort in himself comes confidence from others, and with that confidence comes leadership.

That is the thing. The light went on for Krenzel, but right now it is just flickering for Smith.

I won't pretend to know what "it" is, but the rest of the team believes in TS. That, along with the coaches, is enough for me. Win or lose, this is TS's team. Muck Fichigan. The whole thing is, the players who play, and the coaches who coach think that TS is the person to lead this team, who am I to argue?

Just so you know, if I was the coach of tOSU I would have had Zwick as the starting QB. My use of that statement is what I've observed over the past 2 years.
IMO, Zwich is the better QB. But even if Zwick had manned the QB position the entire year, I'm not sure if our record would be much different.

Sure, as evidenced by 10 points for the offense on the night. Of course, if you say that the offense gave PSU 7 points, that's a net three points with the great Smith under center.
That won't get it done, and it's hard to imagine the team could do any worse with any of the other three QBs on the roster.

boy that's brilliant. A guy with an average arm that has no experience is a guaranteed improvement (Boeckman)... not to mention a frosh who barely knows the playbook.
I'm sure disgruntled Florida fans posted the same dribble about the backup QBs at Florida after getting demolished by Alabama's D.
Watch next week and see how many yards "the type of offense soooo many want" (Michigan) does against this D.

There is a reason Jim Tressel is the coach of the Ohio State University football team. There is a reason he has won multiple National Championships and coached the only 14-0 team in NCAA div 1 history. There is a reason he is 43-9 @ tOSU. If he is starts Troy Smith over Justin Zwick...there is a reason.
