I don't know about anyone else but if I went to a penn state, scUM, wisky, or most big ten road games I'd pretty much expect to have beer tossed on me, things thrown at me or to be taunted. If they want to complain about having it bad as visiting fan, try being a US fan in Mexico at a National team game. Getting hit with batteries, beer, churros, bags of urine, and glass is par for the course.

Ok that's going way too far...the second I get hit with a churro is the second I declare war...nevermind the urine or glass...you waste a churro, your ass is mine

It's becoming to be more of a problem with night games in college football. How can you expect people to behave after drinking all afternoon and then for them to act in a sober manner is way out of character. I have always wondered what it was like on Lane ave to see the incidents of abnormal drinking and getting out of line during a night game at C-bus. I think someday it could get real ugly if we continue to have these night games in the future.

The more I think about it, the less angry I get about what happend on Saturday to the fans. You know, it's not like anybody got hurt that I know of. I think that the PSU fans just showed no class, and no respect for the fact that we aren't just tOSU fans, but are also human beings. So fine...if that's how it's going to be, then that's how it is going to be. It just makes me hate them more and think less of them. I don't know whether I will treat them with class next year when they come here, or treat them like they treated us. Half of me says that would be stooping down to their level, the other half of me says it would be a hell of a good time. I still find it amazing that just because somebody puts on an opposing teams colors, all of a sudden fans forget they are fellow human beings, and treat them like they are nothing. It not only happens in sports with fans, but it can been seen in history with clashes between different races and ethnicities. Groups like to get together and all of a sudden they think they can treat other groups like crap.
I remember after we beat scUM in 2004, I stood there and watched the fans rush the field. A few seats away were some scUM fans. I went and talked to them as they watched as well. We talked about how both teams had great young teams...how this game was turning into a great rivalry, and how it will be fun to watch Ginn, Smith, Henne, and Hart go against each other for the next couple years. I enjoyed that a lot. In 2003 when I went to The Whore, I remember everybody yelling things at us...and hating us, but at the same time respecting us. Respect the game, respect the players, and respect the fans. That's why I love the Ohio State/Michigan rivalry. We can hate them and still respect them. I don't respect Penn State at all now...I just hate them. And to me, that doesn't make for a great rivalry...it makes for no rivalry. It's just a team I hate...like Wisky. I can't wait for November 19th. The only true college football game we play all year.
