I was looking at some stats (creating a pretty sweet database that I will share when completed) and I have noticed some trends so far this season and it will be interesting to see how it all pans out.
If
OSU scores less then 7 points in the 1st Quarter they lose
If
OSU rushes for less yards then their opponent a game they lose
< 150 yards passing
OSU loses
< 20 first downs we lose
< or equal to 40% on third down conversions
OSU loses
So in order for Ohio State to win
- They need to run for more yards then the other team
- Have a balanced attack where they throw for more then 150 yards
- Move the ball on a consitent basis and get more then 20 first downs
- On 3rd down
OSU has to be better then 40%. So the more 3rd and short the better...
I told you uselss stats!!!! ;-)
