i kinda have to beg to differ on the thought that the flag wouldn't hurt the FieldTurf, it will, ohio state has it on their indoor practice and one of their outdoor fields, i know i because i was at the osu football camp this summer, and it is basically a rug with plastic/rubber blades of grass, and these little black beads that hold down everything, poking a flag pole thru it will rip it, and basically destroy that section, i read somewhere that the turf in michigan stadium cost $660,000 and that guy is lucky he didn't get that flag thru the turf |

this guy i believe was talking about the FieldTurf
i have felt it and actually pulled on some of the blades and it lifts like a piece of carpet, i really don't like it, you fall on it and it can give you a real bad rug burn, of course grass can too, but not as bad as FieldTurf
now Ohio State also has a AstroTurf field that looks like its 20 years old, it is sun-beaten, dried up and hard, when we were doing our 7 on 7 games one team had to go skins, meaning they took their shirts off, and one of our games was on the AstroTurf and we had to go skins, so whenever one of our guys fell he got a real bad rug burn |
