Whats everyones take on Weiss going pro? I read an article about it, seemed like the writer was just trying to stir the pot, but he does have a very cheap buy-out claus.

Exactly. However, I will root against ND just b/c I don't like them and I think they're overrated due to the fact that they haven't beaten one good team all year.

Why can't some people understand that other people just do not want to root for that team up north to win. Its almost like blasphemy to root for Meatchicken to win. Thats not to say that I will not root for the team that they're playing to lose. For instance, I did not root for Meatchicken to win over Penn State. I rooted for Penn State to lose. I know its just a play on words but I also think thats how Woody would want it done. It all goes back to one thing, WWWD (What Would Woody do?)

I was just thinking about how much the '02 NC and the BCS system in general is detracting from the OSU UM rivalry.
It used to be - better to lose 10 and beat meatchicken silly than to win 10 and drop at their hands. Hell, I even rooted for tSUN when they played the domers.
I've heard it's not nearly as important to Michigan fans as OSU fans - I wonder if that's true and why. They have a more distributed fanbase to accompany their national recruiting tendencies? (Proximity not a factor)
They'd been winning handily until recently so they stopped caring? (kind of like the Yankees Sox rivalry for Yankees fans)
They're more caught up in the BCS tournament than The Game

As far as ND goes the whole of their BCS hopes can be summed up in 1 word....Tennessee.
They lose and bye bye BCS, they win and it will still be close.
They are 15th in the current BCS and their SOS is gonna drop like a rock once the Navy, Syracuse and Stanford trifecta hits. The computers hate ND, the human pollsters are the only thing saving that ass.
The rule is 9 wins and a BCS of 12 or better for them.
