I would have prefered a date with that quote, but I can live with this! I hope "a while" means 14 months and not 2 months.

I'd be very surprised to see M.J. stick around for his senior season. The guy is going to be a stud in the NFL.

Oden clearly made the right choice, if as is suspected his injury was inevitable.
But having heard so many interviews with so many NFL players over the years, the theme that I recall coming up most often has nothing to do with money. You never hear them say that they wish they could've earned another million here or there. You will often hear them say that College was the best time of their lives.
It is entirely possible that Malcolm is having the best years of his life right now. It is also possible that he is one of the few who are mature enough to realize it while it's happening. Further, it is possible that he is one of the very few who are mature enough to realize that his time at Ohio State may one day be worth more to him than any amount of money. He might even be among the precious few who hold that standard of value now, while he is still here.
Just because he might make a lot of money for an extra year doesn't mean it's a mistake not to leave. He might know what he's doing a whole lot better than we realize.

There is more to it then that, football is a game, a game in which any play can be your last. One play an it can be over. Tressel knows this, and will tell him that, Malcolm is a top 15 pick, Thats a ton of money, money that he may not get a chance to make if he gets hit hard next year.

Fortunately, I think our secondary is going to be pretty solid next year, with Russel, Coleman, Chekwa and Washington all coming back.
...now that I think about it, our whole D should be pretty solid next year even if 2, 33 and 50 all leave.
If they all come back (which I'm definitely not counting on), I'm not sure anyone will be scoring any points against the defense.
