Week 9 Action
Texas Tech rebounded from their Longhorn pronging and shut out Baylor, 28-0.
Auburn thumped Ole Miss, 27-3.
Miami had a tough time with North Carolina, but ended up with a victory against the Tar Heels, 34-16.
Wisconsin beat hapless Illinois, 41-24.
Michigan State buried Indiana, 46-15.
The Oklahoma Sooners invaded Lincoln and sacked the Huskers, 31-24. Buckeye recruits AJ Wallace and JB Walton were in attendance.
South Carolina nips Tennessee, 16-15, in a big SEC upset.
Another unbeaten falls, as Florida edges Georgia 14-10 at the World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party in Jacksonville.
Florida State came from behind to beat Maryland, 35-27.
Unbeaten Alabama trounced Utah State, 35-3.
#1 USC pounded Washington State, 55-13.
No. 22 Fresno State held off Hawaii, 27-13.

Stanford scored on UCLA with less than 9 minutes to go in the game, taking a 24-3 lead. Then they had one of the worse collapses ever, allowing UCLA to win 30-27 in OT.
UCLA managed that without getting a turnover or recovering an onside kick. After going almost 3 and a half quarters and getting 3 points, they scored 3 TDs on long drives in a total of less than 5 minutes on the clock.
And Texas did their annual 'pound the Cowboys in the second half' thing. Down 28-12 to Okie State, they won 47-28. Seeing VY go 80 yards after a pump fake was a thing of beauty.

FSU and Miami are horribly overrated. Its a damn shame VT is going to get some credit for beating them (if they even can) in the upcoming weeks.
The ACC is still a few years away from top to bottom respectability in my mind.

I'm thinking we all need to become VT fans this season and hope VT clears the path for OSU to a BCS at-large bid by dealing L's to both FSU and Miami. We're good with only one ACC team ahead of us, but not two. VT losing to Miami could really hurt OSU's chances to make the BCS as an at-large.

The Canes might have been looking ahead in yesterday's game. I can't see them beating Va Tech at home. This may be one of those 13-10 final scores.
