Where's all the stories about how "All is Right in the World" now that USC is back at #1? I got sick of hearing about how it was a "controversy" that Texas had "taken" #1 from USC. What's the definition of "controversy," anyway? Is it a controversy simply because the results of the poll aren't the way that people wanted them to be?

And I can't wait to hear how "the computers don't know anything" because of they way they've "screwed up" the polls. (Talking about how Notre Dame drops to #14 because of the computer polls.)

Well, remember Zurp, the BCS was put in place to attempt to try and calm concerns of voter bias.

I'm like you, I don't know why people think the BCS is screwed up because it disagrees with what the previously held to be unreliable voters think. The BCS is screwed up, but for other reasons. Like it being a fundementally ridiculous idea.

The BCS was put in place to attempt to prevent split champions. It had nothing to do with voter bias. In fact, the original BCS plan called for just using the two human polls. Only after the AP poll objected that they added computers.

Not how I remember it. But, it's 5:00 and I'm gonna bail. If you're right, you're right, but I recall people saying voter bias was why we needed another system.

The BCS rankings will be announced each Monday through Nov. 28 and the final BCS poll will be announced on Sunday, Dec. 4. The teams ranked No. 1 and 2 in the final BCS standings will meet for the national championship in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 4. If a Big Ten team is not ranked No. 1 or 2 in the final BCS poll, the conference champion (or co-champion as designated by the Big Ten tie-breaking procedures) will play in the Fiesta, Orange or Sugar Bowl.

Note: The Rose Bowl is hosting. It does in no way state WHO is the Conference champion, unless the Rose Bowl is the venue. So under that ruling, The BCS could coose ANY Co-Champion, as it chooses.

Lots of possibilities, should be a fun few weeks to follow.

Oklahoma, while its nice to see them helping out by making us look better, I don't give a rat's ass who they lost to, considering they were blown out by Texas, handled soundly by UCLA and TCU, and were taken to OT by Baylor. Their big wins were against the struggling KState, the struggling Nebraska, Baylor, Tulsa and Kansas????? How in the world do you get a BCS ranking for beating that crew?????

Evidently you took a nap from early in the second quarter until the end of the game. Minnesota moved the ball at will for their first four drives (271 yards and 17 points), but their next eight drives (from around 7:00 of the second quarter until the last minute or so of the game) resulted in 194 yards and seven points. Although I am rooting for a BCS failure with as many unbeatens as possible, I have to say that overall, the BCS doesn't seem to favor one conference more than another which is a plus

Sorry but OSU does not scare me one bit. You guys are a riot, a few weeks ago you all were crying in your beer and now you win a game or two and all the sudden your team is great again. Didn't Purdue give Minnesota a good game?

There is talk of a ND vs OSU Orange Bowl! A real possibility! That, would be a tough ticket to get! Would sell out before it was announced.

I just want to play in Florida, in front of the best high school talent in the south!
