I honestly see 5 of the teams in front of us losing at least one more. If we win out we are in a BCS bowl game, hopefully against Notre Lame so we can whip on them.

all we need is to be top 7. USC and UCLA play each other.....so we gotta root for USC. VTech and Miami play each other this week, so we gotta root for VTech. The winner of the VTech/Miami game will probably play FSU in the ACC Championship.

Looks like the post earlier about us winning out and being in the BCS was right.

What happens if we are in the top 7 or 8, im not sure which one it is that gets a garuntee of a spot if there is that rule anymore, and notre dame is in the top 12 with there garunted spot. Does that mean there are no more teams that get a automatic bid or what? Would we get screwed cause another team won our confrence. Thanks for the help.

I don't know who gets preference over the other. I would hope that a BCS #7 gets the nod over a BCS #12........but it is the BCS so you never know.

I said top 7 because WVU will be there [censored]ing things up and taking a spot from somebody in the top 8 who actually deserves it. I hope to god we don't play them if we do get a BCS game.

I wonder if any AP or USAToday voters look at this and wonder, "Hmm... maybe there is something to this "Notre Dame Hype" people always complain about"

i think the logic behind being #7 is that being #7 could possibly mean that osu is the highest ranked team that isnt a conference winner. That would about lock them in for a potential at large bid. the only problem is that ucla may have to lose twice to fall below osu in the polls, and bama needs to beat lsu.

Sadly, they probably look at it and say "the computers are dumb, let's get rid of them."

LSU still has to go to Alabama, FSU still has to go to Florida, Miami still has to go to Va Tech, PSU still has to play Wisconsin at home and go to MSU, UCLA playing USC...I think we're in very good shape.

Good point -- they're 5-3, with wins over Baylor, Kansas, Kansas St., Nebraska, and Tulsa.
