yeah... except that by that logic, SDSU has an NFL caliber defense... which has already been proven to be untrue by the fact that both UCLA and Air Force put 40+ on them...

Development of the linemen has been another issue that I just don't see getting any better.
I watched Datish playing left tackle and he's horrible. If he is the best we have at LT then this team is in DEEP trouble offensively. No other way to put it. I see that Boone is gaining on him as far as PT, but the fact of the matter is that one of two things is going wrong:
1. Evaluating the talent coming out of high school.
2. Developing the talent when it gets here.
The fact that Stepanovich, Olivea, and...(who's the other one? I know Bentley is starting for the Saints) are on NFL rosters does speak to the fact that something was wrong while they were here. Was it the running backs? Could be. Lydell Ross is the worst RB to ever play at Ohio State. Just a very frustrating last couple of years on the offensive side of the ball.

Just as a referee, Buckeyeboy wrote (added emphasis):

If there are three NFL starters on a college team's offensive line

As no NFL running back is on a college team, the question of why NFL backs don't all get 100 yards is moot.
At the same time, if there are three NFL starters on a college team then there are some big issues there that the NCAA will have problems with. . .
As to whether or not a college team with 3 lineman who will eventually play in the NFL should always have a 100 yd/game back. . .
