Yeah, but Northwestern isn't Illinois. They are much better football team. Hopefully our defense shows up for this contest. Unlike last year.

I would be worried about the spread if we had not seen better defenses, but we have. I also do not think that our improved offensive performance is due exclusively to the fact that we have played much inferior defenses. I think two or three touchdowns is possible.

The Illinois D was so bad that out 2nd team offense looked just as good against them as our 1st team offense.
Northwestern scored 28 pts (?) in regulation last year, but their O and our D are better this year so who knows who will have the upper hand. You know Sutton is licking his chops to come back to Ohio and show JT that he made a mistake. This is going to be a shoot out and I doubt we'll cover, although I have doubted that we'll cover the past 2 weeks too. If NU can hold our offense to 28 pts like they did last year I don't know if we'll win the game.

Northwestern has the 117th ranked defense in D-IA, they are a calamity wrapped up in a mess and our offense will thrive on this.

I have no doubt that our offense should have their way with the NW defense, unless we play the whole game like we did the first quarter of last week. The key is going to be our defense playing great as always and shutting down Basanez

if our defensive line and blitzing linebackers can place considerable pressure on basanez, which results in at least a handful of sacks, rushes, and an interception or two, ohio state will cover the spread. our offense should be able to score just as easily against northwestern as it did against illinois. well, let's hope that the offense can score just as easily against northwestern as they did against illinois in the second half.

Last time I checked the computers all have us rated as one of the top 5 teams in the country when points are figured in. Our 2 losses, we lost by 7 and 3. And every game that we have won we've won by double digits. So 16 doesn't surprise me.
