Penn State and Miami have been interchangeable for me. No way any team from the SEC could handle the Bucks or Penn State right now. I cant justify them being ranked higher than 5th place. If the Texas Defense keeps playing well USC is in trouble in the title game. Vince Young has improved his passing leaps and bounds this season. No defense in the Big12 or Pac10 will be near OSU's so I have to be more and more impressed with Texas every week.

Good point Jax, I was kind of focussed on the table formatting.
To underscore Jax and my points lest look at cumulative SOS (PDF FILE) as measured by the NCAA.
Jax nails the Strongest schedule of the X-1 teams.
Penn State's schedule is rated 10th toughest thus far, Miami's 50th and LSU 66th.

Ohio State's schedule is 3rd toughest, while Michigan rates at the 2nd toughest in the country with Oklahoma taking the whipping boy award.

I am not sure but can anyone explaing to me why Bama falls behind a two loss notre Lame team and infront of us.

How many wins does that team have that beat them. O yeah 5 thats right.

Give me a [censored]in' break. Bama lost in OT to a top 5 team and have been undefeated in the SEC till this point.

I wish I could hear a couple of the coaches explanations of this. This is why the [censored]in' polls suck and it should all just be settled on the field at the end of the year.

You can say they've played two other ranked teams: Texas Tech and Colorado. Texas Tech IMO is the most overrated team in the country, aside from Notre Lame. TT plays probably the easiest schedule in the entire Nation. The media loves them and their passing offense which when they faced a decent defense (Texas) they shut them down. TTech's first three non-conference opponets were TWO Division IAA opponets and one of the worst IA schools in the country. After winning three games and piling up yards like crazy against such candyass opponets the Media ranks them in the top 15... are you kidding? I'll give Colorado SOME respect but not any to Texas Tech. IMHO Big XII is the weakest conference outside the Big East out of all the BCS teams. It's been a lucky year for Texas that no other team has emerged out of the Big XII which is why they finally have a chance at the title.

... I live in College Station, Texas. And I'm tired of the Aggies, but more importantly I'm tired of the UT lovefest. Yes they beat tOSU in a VERY close game and agruably if they played again now with tOSU clicking on all clyinders and playing with ONE QB this time, the results would be different. Other than tOSU Texas has played a soft schedule....
