BP Awards: The Skladany (Best Punter)
This award was won in a landslide by Wake Forest's Ryan Plackemeier, who averaged 47.24 yards per punt in 2005. Congratulations, Ryan, for winning BP's inaugural edition of the Skladany Award as the nation's best punter!

Ditto, LJB. I had the lone 1st place vote for Steve Weatherford of Illinois. He was by far the best punter I saw this season, and was quite impressive. The best player on the Illini this season, in fact.

awww, my Ryne Robinson vote got thrown out. He punted a few times this season and impressed me enough. Don't know enough about punters...but he definitely could have been a dandy if he wasn't SO GOOD at everything else he is.
