Now comes the award that you've all been waiting for, the coronation of the best college football player in the country. I had Young first, followed by Bush then Leinart.
My reasoning was that Bush was the best 'pure' RB, and Leinart the best 'pure' QB. Both are excellent players, probably the best at their respective positions, with skills that translate perfectly to the NFL. I voted each first in their respective positional categories. The Griffin though, like the Heisman, is for the best all around college player. I think that's Young. I probably don't want to risk building my NFL franchise around such a potential injury risk (e.g. mobile/scrambling QB), but if I wanted one player to build my college team around, I'd start with VY. He'd be my first pick on the playground, that's for sure. |

I voted:
Reggie Bush Vince Young Matt Leinart A.J. Hawk Brady Quinn Michael Robinson not really... ... I was tired of Leinart and I'm still [censored]ed about losing to PSU...so no way was I voting for those two guys... regardless |

I saw one talking head say that Young was probably the MVP, but Bush was probably the 'most outstanding' player. I think there's some truth in that.

Bush, Young or Young, Bush...
Everyone else is second tier. |
