I wouldn't call a center that can effectively pull average. By the end of the season I think Nick may be recognized as one of the best centers in the B-10 if not in all of college football.

I wouldn't call a center that gets blown up all of the time good

How many times did you see him getting pushed back into the backfield ? And when he puts on the weight to help with that, he won't be so agile for that pulling.

There's no way Mangold ever beats out the kids from Minnesota or Wisconsin for recognition in the Big 10. And he's still not at the level of those other guys.

I think people are in for a real letdown from this year's offensive line.

LouisHMartinez:

You're wrong. Period. Mangold has the feet and athletic ability NOW to dominate the line of scrimmage. Wait and see. If you saw the spring game, then you saw him consistently blow up the line of scrimmage while attempting to block field goals and extra points. And he did block a FG. I know that is defense, but it gives you some idea as to his strength and his ability to hold off defenders. Watch and learn...

I think Antwaj Hawthorne is still going thru Nick's lunch pail

I wonder if he found anyone sawmill gravy ? Because that's what 55 needs.

Well, Louis.....some of the media and the coaching staff think he is pretty good considering they moved Stepanovich and placed him at center, check out the link, I would say he is regarded as a top center.

The center at Minnesota is tough and may be better than Mangold but Raiola at Wisconsin is not better than him. Just my two cents!

Mili- Have you ever saw Schegal play?? You are in for a treat! I would think he would be top 10 myself.

I did see him against your ND team, and he played a great game, but I don't judge a player by a single game two seasons ago. I'm hoping everyone that sings his praise are right...

There's no way Mangold ever beats out the kids from Minnesota or Wisconsin for recognition in the Big 10. And he's still not at the level of those other guys.

Only your first day on the board and we already know you don't know your ass from a hole in the ground...
