DE Solomon Thomas (official thread)
'07 OH DE Solomon Thomas
West Chester (OH)
Lakota West
Height: 6-foot-4
Weight: 225 pounds
40-yard dash: 4.82 seconds
Bench max: 250 pounds
Scout Profile
I was going to start a thread about this kid when Gary mentioned him, but his name is starting to float around again so we better get one going. Along with Thomas and D'Andrea, early word is that Thomas will be in the running for the best DL not named Ben Martin next year. Seeing as how kind Lakota West was to OSU this year, this is definitely a kid to keep an eye on. More info to come soon...

Lakota West has been kind to tOSU in recent years, not just this past year. Brandon Maupin, Steve Rehring, and Josh Chichester.
Lakota's coach says this kid is every bit as good as Martin. Quite a ringing endorsement. Plus, when he has tOSU level kids, they go to tOSU.

Here's a pic.
I've seen both he and Martin play, and Solomon is just a notch below. Strikingly similar size and physical attributes, but Martin is further along in his development. In any event, he is a STUD, and could be the most heavily recruited player in the Cincy area, besides Eugene Clifford from Colerain.
And as the previous poster alluded to, OSU has the inside track if they offer.

Thanks for the input...greenies for ya.
If for some reason we lose Martin, I would be ecstatic with an Ohio DL class that could include a combination of Eric Thomas, Joey D'Andrea and Solomon Thomas. Add in the OOS DL recruiting...

JUst another stud to add to the d-line prospects. Nexts years class is going to be loaded at the safety position and d-line.
I also think when/if he gets an offer he will accept.

A poster on BN$ (futurebuckeye) said he plays on his h.s. team and he hates OSU. Likes USC and ND. Hope there is nothing to this.

We'll see how much he "hates" OSU if/when they offer. West has been very kind to OSU in the past...
