this top post as the games play-out.
First set of data will have just the straight win-loss record, conference by conference.
Second set of data I will use shall assign a point value to the wins - though I'm not totally persuaded as to the relative strength of the points it will be something like this --
Playing and winning a bowl game - 1 pt
Playing and winning in a Bowl game on Dec 29th through New years - 1 pt
Playing and winning in a Bowl Game against a top 25 opponent - 2 points
Playing and winning in a BCS Bowl Game - 3 pts
Playing and winning in the BCS Championship Game - 4 pts.

NOTE - Points are cumulative, the maximum points come from the BCS Championship game - 1 point for a win, 1 date points, 2 points for defeating a top-25 opponent, 4 points for winning the BCS Championship game.= 8 total points.
Final ranking will also include a 3rd measure - a Points Per Game Average.
