When you think about it though, Tressel is working for a minimum wage-like salary of about $5.15 ...
a minute.

Great coaches do more than win games. They build character and improve the lives of young men. Where do you think Troy Smith would be today if it weren't for men like coaches Tedd Ginn Sr. and Jim Tressel. My guess is he wouldn't have a college degree, he wouldn't be in New York next month to accept the Heisman Trophy, and (very likely) he wouldn't be a 1st round NFL draft pick next April getting a multi-million dollar NFL contract.
How do you put a dollar value on that?

With little fanfare, The George Munger Coach of the Year Finalists have been reduced to Greg Schiano, Jim Tressel, and Charlie Weis.
For those who did not realize this, it should be noted that the Maxwell Football Club, which selects the Maxwell, Bednarik and Munger award recipients, is chaired by Ron Jaworski, who happens to be a Youngstown State alum.
Hmm ... Schiano, Weis, or Tressel ... What would Jaws do?
