We are way to spoiled and some fans can't handle a loss. It has been a good year. We have two games left and the team needs to finish strong. I would take Tressel over anyone.

I agree we've been spoiled, and i love Tressel.. but I do feel he didn't coach a very good game yestrday.. this is also after seeing it once and drunk so..
When he called that timeout on 4th & inches my buddy tossed his beer across the room yelling 'dammit, no timeouts and now they're gonna go for it'.. i also wonder why JT (and there has been a few this year) never challenges obvious plays.. the 2 that come to mind was that 4th & inches, the spot was a good yard heavy if not more, and the obvious 80 yard run & fumble.. now that i've read we don't have monitors in the coaches boxs' i understand but c'mon.. get those monitors in there, or show replays on the scoreboard like every other stadium.
Go Bucks, in Tressel I trust.

Spoiled, agree but considering that we the wasn't supposed to be where we are right now. I'd say we are Super Spoiled.

I love Coach Tressel.. but I dont understand this "overachieving" and "we were supposed to lose 3-4 games this year" stuff.. Yeah many of us felt that way prior to the season, but that was based on the thought that PSU, Purdue, Wisky, and Michigan were top teams.. People were predicting Top 5 finishes for Michigan and Wisconsin.. Top 10 for PSU.. Top 20 for Purdue..
Now that we've gone through the year... there isnt a team on our schedule or in this conference that has anywhere near the talent or coaching staff we do.. Therefore, it's disappointing that we did lose a game.. and I cant say we "overachieved" or 10-1 is a tremendous result..
We are better than every team in this conference and probably beat most of them 9 times out of 10..
To me the season isnt a disappointment (unless we lose the next two).. but I cant buy that we overachieved this year..

I think it evident from the message boards that those of you watching at home didn't see what preceded the now infamous TO.
1) Illinois had their offensive personnel ready to run on the field
(pretending to go for it), so OSU was ready with their D. At the last second, literally, Illinois switched. OSU ran out Hartline and Small as two D players ran off the field. For a few seconds there were too many men on the field and Illinois was set.
2)Tressel literally had a split second to make his decision. In hindsight he should have risked it, or let them punt without our returners on the field. But no one can expect to make the right call in those circumstances.

I don't recall it being a last second switch by Illinois. Even if so, it's on our special teams coach(es) to have people ready to go when the opponent is on fourth down, just for this exact scanario. As soon as Illinois brought their punt team on the field (IIRC, they didn't exactly Chinese-firedrill run on the field) we should've brought ours on.

Honestly, I remember it as a Chinese-firedrill run onto the field. Our D was already on the field and Illinois broke from the sidelines with the punt team. Two (I think linemen) had the sprint off the field as Hartline/Small ran out to return. The were perhaps a little late in realizing it was the punt team.
This is speculation but I think Tressel was calling the timeout as the players were switching but the official didn't really accept his call until they had switched.
I don't know how they showed it on TV-sometimes you see things at the game that you don't see on TV and vice-versa. (assuming you werent' there).
