Exactly. I think one of the reasons it looked bad was that the personnel had changed by the time the TO was granted. But, Tressel had mere seconds to make the call and I think 90% of coaches would have done so under those circumstances. I wouldn't even blame him in hindsight because I don't think he could have made any other call. |

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Jim Tressel is the class of the Big 10. He handles himself with dignity, class and he has my deepest respect. By the way, this is the best rebuilding year I have ever seen. We will only graduate 2 seniors from this team this year as I write this we are ranked 5th in the country. Jim is 6-1 against TSUN including 4 consecutive wins, he's been to two national championship games, possibly a third and oh by the way, we've got a spectacular recruiting class once again.
Let me add what I enjoy watching most. He's on the sidelines and he's not making a horses ass out of himself. He's not screaming at those kids when they make a mistake. He's not making the university look bad at half time by acting like an elitist that is above the media. In short, Jim Tressel is not only a guy I would have loved to have played football for but if my son ever decides to play football, wherever Jim is coaching, that is where I will advise my son to go. To be quite frank, I would prefer to sit on the bench of a Jim Tressel team than to start on some of these other teams.
If you don't have faith in Coach Tressel, then either you are a spoiled rotten, worthless bandwagon fan or you haven't endured the pain of going 2-10-1 against TSUN, that or you were dropped on your head as a child or you ate paint chips.
Oh and if you have any spare bronze, please send it over to me in Indiana, I started sculpting a Tressel bust 7 years ago and now I'm working on a full size statue to put in my front yard. (I'm kidding of course. . . I already have one.)
