Tressel's session with the media at BigTen Media Day is currently being played on ESPNews.
Edit- wish I had Big Ten Network right now, guess they had live coverage of all the coaches...Comcast doesn't get it until 8/15.
Full Video is available on the BTN website... link

Tressel downplays 'gentlemen' comment
July 24, 2008
Posted by ESPN.com's Adam Rittenberg
CHICAGO -- Ohio State coach Jim Tressel expects the rivalry with Michigan to have some added excitement and even "mystery" with a new coach prowling the Wolverines' sideline.
But Tressel doesn't think he added any fuel to the annual game with his comments this spring about Big Ten coaches pursuing recruits who are already verbally committed to other league schools. At Ohio State's spring preview luncheon, Tressel was asked if poaching a committed recruit violates a gentlemen's agreement between Big Ten coaches.
"I guess only between the gentlemen," he replied.
Many viewed the comment as a dig at new Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez, who landed a wide receiver prospect (Roy Roundtree) who already had committed to Purdue.
"The discussion wasn't even about me," Tressel said Thursday. "I didn't have any involvement in that whole thing leading up to me. I've served with Rich on the American Football Coaches (Association) Board of Trustees long before he went to Michigan. He's going to be a great representative for Michigan and the Big Ten. So no, I wasn't trying to make a point."

OSU Insider: Tressel uses old 49ers to drive home championship point to Buckeyes
Posted by Doug Lesmerises July 24, 2008
Chicago -- Ohio State was named the preseason favorite to win the Big Ten by conference media on Thursday. You think Jerry Rice and Ronnie Lott would be impressed?
It was no shock that the three-time defending conference champs were picked for a four-peat. Since spring practice, OSU coach Jim Tressel has been wary of boring his veteran Buckeyes with things they've heard and done before. So during the summer doldrums, Tressel decided to blind his players with Super Bowl rings, bringing in former San Francisco 49ers Rice, Lott, Joe Montana and Roger Craig to talk to the team. Tressel knows former 49ers owner Ed DeBartolo Jr., a Youngstown native.
"Coaches might come in and talk to you," senior left tackle Alex Boone said recently, mentioning a visit by Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops. "But when people come in who have been in our shoes, you tend to listen more.
"You might get bored with summer conditioning and [preseason] camp is so close but so far away, and then they talked to us and re-energized us."
"The room was quiet," quarterback Todd Boeckman said Thursday. "You could hear a pin drop the whole time they were talking because everyone was focused on them."
Those four players collected 14 Super Bowl rings in San Francisco. But while the 49ers won five Super Bowls between 1981 and 1994, they also lost in the NFC Championship four times, solace for the losers of consecutive national title games.
"They said they couldn't remember how many times they lost in the championship game. So they've been through it all," OSU linebacker James Laurinaitis said. "They had a lot of stud players on their team that accomplished a lot. And I feel like we have a lot of star players so to speak. Hopefully we can accomplish the success they had."

Tressel: Michigan game is 'absolutely' more important than matchup with USC
By MARK SNYDER • FREE PRESS SPORTS WRITER • July 25, 2008
CHICAGO – While Rich Rodriguez was busy dodging questions about his tumultuous offseason, Ohio State coach Jim Tressel was calmly answering questions – about Rodriguez and Michigan at the Big Ten media day.
“Anytime there’s a change, change becomes exciting in its own way,” Tressel said away from the podium Thursday when asked about the new spice to the rivalry with a new Michigan coach. “The wonder of what is this going to look like. That change and that mystery. not that you have to add a whole bunch more to the Ohio State-Michigan game but it adds a little bit.”
